Whether it may be allergies, sensitivities, or even taste, healthier food substitutions are all the rage in today’s world where we are now, more than ever, aware that what we eat affects our body’s processes. Thanks to new scientific discoveries and an ever-increasing ease in finding alternative products, digesting different ingredients is allowing us to lose weight, sleep better, and even indulge in some of life’s “sinful” foods. From zero calorie sweeteners to low-carb snacks to even tasty yet low-sodium salad dressings and sauces, you can begin a new adventure into a world where your pants don’t have to get bigger.

Here’s a great recipe we found for some delicious brownies.
Ingredients:
2/3 cup honey
1/2 cup melted butter or coconut oil
1 Tbsp. vanilla extract
3 eggs (cage free, non hormone)
1 cup almond flour
1/2 cup cocoa (also raw cacao)
1/4 tsp. baking soda (can be omitted)
1/4 tsp. sea salt (omit if using salted butter)

Directions:
Preheat oven to 350°F.
Mix honey, butter (can sub coconut oil), vanilla, and eggs until smooth. (If leaving out baking soda, beat eggs until foamy then add in other wet ingredients.)
Add almond flour, cocoa, baking soda, and salt then stir to blend.
Pour into (greased) 8x8x2 inch pan.
Bake for approximately 25 minutes, until center no jiggles and top feels cakey.
Cool on a wire rack until sides pull away from the edge of the pan before cutting.
